Orienteering is a sport in which the competitor needs to find a certain number of control points (control) on the field in the shortest time, in the order in which the points are drawn on the map. The maps are made according to the international standards of ISOM, the International Orienteering Federation. With the help of a map and a compass, the contestants move through unknown terrain. Orienteering is a sport for all generations, and can be practiced both recreationally and competitively. Equipment requires a compass and outdoor running equipment.
