The largest part of the Durmitor area has an average annual temperature of 2 to 8 degrees Celsius. There are 120 days a year under snow, greater than 15 centimeters, and the ski fields, which are at a higher altitude, have a snow cover suitable for skiing 150 days a year.
In the higher parts of Durmitor, snow deposits can be seen throughout the summer, and in the area of Kalica, the so-called The "THICK FLOOR", 200 to 300 meters long, on which you can ski even in the middle of summer. The climate has its characteristics, from sub-mountainous in the river canyons, to sub-mountainous at altitudes up to 1200 meters, to typical alpine. Winters are long and cold, summers are relatively short and cool, and interestingly, autumns are warmer than spring.
