Lonely Planet - 10 best destinations in Europe
The world's leading travel guide, Lonely Planet, included the north of Montenegro in the high fourth place in the list of the ten best destinations in Europe (Best in Europe 2017) that should be visited this summer, thus positioning it as one of the best tourist destinations, ahead of Leeds in Great Britain , Alentejo in Portugal, northern Germany, Moldova, Paphos in Cyprus, Avra in France.
As stated in the text: "Northern" Montenegro has earned this recognition for several reasons: the northern region is full of adventure without mass tourism and ideal for exploration. They state that adventure lovers will surely like rafting through the Tara canyon, the deepest in Europe, cycling tours through the Durmitor National Park with beautiful landscapes, as well as local quality food.
The spokesperson and editor of Lonely Planet, Tom Hall, said on this occasion: "From cultural adventures to spectacular landscapes, Europe has something for every tourist. For the Best in Europe 2017 edition, we've put together our list of destinations to visit this summer, all of which offer something new, exciting and undiscovered that makes them worth visiting right now."
This is not the first time that this prestigious travel guide has awarded this flattering award to Montenegro. We remind you that in 2015, Lonely Planet included Kotor in the first place of cities to visit. Jaz beach was also on their list of the best beaches. The extremely strong distribution network of this publishing house will have an impact on the further promotion of Montenegro.
