Wild wool day in NP Durmitor

The Public Enterprise for National Parks of Montenegro and Durmitor National Park, in cooperation with the Municipality of Žabljak, are organizing the workshop "Day of Wild Wool in Durmitor National Park" on Tuesday, April 11, 2023.

The workshop aims to involve the local community, primarily women who gravitate to the National Park area. The purpose of the workshop is also the possibility of processing natural materials, in this case wool, as well as increasing the self-sustainability potential of protected areas. It is a matter of traditional wool processing and an authentic product which, through further cooperation, would be purchased and marketed in souvenir shops in Parks.

In this way, the National Parks of Montenegro want to strengthen cooperation with local communities through the promotion of their locally made products.

The workshop will be organized in the Žabljak Municipality Hall on Tuesday, April 11, from 1 to 4 p.m.

The educator of the workshop is Mrs. Branka Pajović from Žabljak.
