Žabljak and Durmitor are locations that can always offer memories that you can carry with you for a lifetime. Durmitor is a unique location by its nature and one of the most unique places in the entire world. In recent years, we have become widely recognized, and a large number of media platforms and houses put us on the bucket list of places you must visit. Just last year, "European Best Destination" and #Beautiful destination "placed us on the list of the 10 most beautiful
parks in Europe and the world.
This year, the plateau of the “Razvršje” building is open from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m., the price of complete equipment for one hour at the rink is five euros. The rink has aids that make skating easier for beginners. We are pleased that the rink was purchased by the Municipality of Žabljak and is in its permanent ownership. Although the youngest are most looking forward to this magic on the ice, adults are increasingly freeing themselves from prejudices and engaging in recreation on the ice. There are bazaar houses on the site itself, where you can buy souvenirs with the most beautiful motifs of Durmitor or refresh yourself with mulled wine, tea or some other delicacy.
Something in Žabljak that all extreme sports fans should visit is “Durmitor Base Camp” – Outside your comfort zone. Located in the heart of the Durmitor massif (Katun Lokvice), the camp combines winter outdoor adventures with an authentic expedition-style experience. Tent camping involves a winter expedition in durable, functional tents equipped with warm winter sleeping bags, ensuring a comfortable stay.

The most visited destination in winter is certainly the Savin kuk ski resort. At the foot of the Savin kuk ski resort, guests can relax and enjoy the nice ambiance, national food and drink from our restaurant "Durmitorsko sijelo" and "Café bar Kulina". There is a cable car for panoramic viewing that operates every day from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. When weather conditions that
allow, the Savin Kuk ski resort operates at full capacity. The view of the mountain alone provides you with a complete atmosphere, even if you are not a skier, and if you want to learn this wonderful sport, there is a ski school right on the slope.
An essential destination in winter is certainly the Black Lake, which is located 3 km from the city center. You can visit it at any time because the entire length of the road is illuminated. If you are a fan of starry nights, Crno jezero is a location that can offer you the most beautiful starry nights, the Međeda massif often flirts with the Milky Way. The lakeside restaurant is open every day from 07:00 to 23:00.
It is currently possible to visit the Tara Bridge, located 22 km from the city center, the deepest canyon in Europe, the second in the world. We recommend visiting Vražije and Riblje Lake, located 12 km from the city center; not far from the lake is the Greek Cemetery (Stećci).
The bridge itself is a masterpiece of nature, and its monumental structure makes it one of the most beautiful and famous in the world.
One thing is certain, our nature leaves no one breathless; all of this is spiced up with rich tradition, hospitality and incredible gastronomy. If you are a fan of cultural and historical monuments, the Durmitor area is an ideal place for you, where you can visit the monasteries: Podmalinsko, Sveti Đorđe, Archangel Michael Monastery and Piva Monastery. No less important are the village churches, of which we have six. We recommend that you visit the monumental building, the Monument to the Victims of Fascism in Žabljak, which is located in the very center and offers unreal panoramas.
