Orienteering
Orienteering is a sport in which a competitor must find a certain number of control points (controls) on the terrain in the shortest possible time, in the order in which the points are drawn on the map. The maps are made according to international standards ISOM, the International Orienteering Federation.
Competitors navigate unfamiliar terrain using a map and compass. Orienteering is a sport for all generations, and can be practiced recreationally or competitively. The equipment required is a compass and outdoor running equipment.
