Announcement of the Wild Beauty Art festival, 19-23. August

New art festival Wild Beauty Art, will be held in Žabljak with the support of the Ministry of Tourism and Sustainable Development and the Tourist Organization of Žabljak. Through this project, the team behind KotorArt provides an even more active contribution in positioning Montenegro as a tourist destination that offers the highest quality artistic and cultural content, not only in Kotor and other coastal towns, but this year also in the north of Montenegro, specifically in Durmitor.

Guided by our own eighteen-year-old results through the activities of KotorArt, which are the result of reflection on the place and importance of culture and art in our society, and encouraged by the Wild Beauty Award for the best event in 2018, we decided to start a festival with the help of enthusiasts and admirers to say the concept - a platform called Wild Beauty Art. With a vision of Montenegro as a unique place where "wild" nature and top art intertwine, this platform aims to artistically "revive" and add cultural content to places that are uniquely experienced as "natural beauty". In this way, in the very competitive market of the region, Montenegro could strategically position itself more strongly and brand itself as a place where divine natural landscapes intertwine with top-class artistic content. We are aware that it is a long-term process for which we are armed with knowledge, experience, patience, desire for prosperity and love for this unique piece of the planet that we call Montenegro. With the high artistic and production level associated with KotorArt, we are sure that through this project we will continue to contribute to the positive change, development and upgrading of the artistic, cultural and touristic offer of our country, changing at the same time the awareness of the resident population about the importance of art on our way to to the elite society of prosperous nations - pointed out Ratimir Martinović, director of KotorArt.

This year's Wild Beauty Art is focused on Durmitor and Žabljak and will last  from August 19 to 23, with planned programs on Black Lake, but also on Savina kuk and other locations in nature. The planned programs have been carefully designed as a combination of top artistic quality and musical works receptive to a wider audience, both domestic and foreign. In addition to the performances of several groups of younger musicians, performances are planned as three central events on the lake Montenegrin guitar duo, with guitarists Srđan Bulatović and Darko Nikčević, who will play their original arrangements of traditional Montenegrin songs; the performance of the leading jazz group from Hungary Bágyi Balázs New Quartet; as well as a piano recital by one of today's most renowned pianists, a professor at the University of Miami, Kemal Gekić.
